The intensive care unit comprises 39 well-equipped beds, with multipara monitors and 22 ventilators, 3 bedside ECHO machines, 3 dialysis units, 8 isolation beds, 1 Intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation (IABP) unit, and the most advanced extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) unit for critical patients with cardio-respiratory failure. ECMO, in particular, is first in Central India, including Vidarbha, MP, and Chhattisgarh, this will double up a portable ICU unit in an ambulance and can be used for other ICUs in the surrounding region.
